This project consisted of a new single-story 6,200 square foot ARFF building located adjacent to the existing Terminal building at the Airport. Primary function areas supporting the 2-vehicle apparatus bay included the decontamination area, foam storage, turn out gear area, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) filler, hose reel, and mezzanine storage. Building areas included a public lobby, badging office, watch room, training & break boom, kitchen & day room, laundry, telecommunications, restrooms, sleeping rooms, first aid, work and storage rooms. The project was designed in accordance with the FAA Advisory Circular for ARFF Buildings. Exterior materials and forms were chosen to complement the existing Airport campus.
